Lufian is one of the two main antagonists of my theoretical Paper Mario×B3313 fangame.
Appearance
Lufian is a black anthropomorphic cat who appears to be carved from coal. There are several cracks in his body, revealing that his body is hollow and held together by green-tinted magic. He has bright gold eyes, though he wears a heart-shaped eyepatch over his left eye. His tail has been broken off, leaving only a small part behind.
He wears a red shawl over a green vest, which itself is worn over a dull brown long-sleeved shirt. He also wears brown pants and boots.
Personality
Lufian started out as a representation of love, though over time it has been corrupted into envy and lust. He views himself as lesser than those from outside the Eternal Kingdom, viewing them as more 'real' than him; this feeling and the desire to prove it illogical is what motivates him in his quest to collapse all worlds into one.
He puts on a cruel and pessimistic persona, using the excuse of mimicking those around him to explain his actions. He's extremely happy to meet those from beyond the Eternal Kingdom, but feels no remorse for wanting to destroy their lives and rewrite them himself.
Lore
Lufian is one of the few beings native to the Eternal Kingdom who has existed for more than a few years, having been around since the beginning as one of the kingdom's archivists. For centuries he and his counterpart Sontem watched and catalogued the lives of those in other dimensions, though they never knew why this needed to be done - just that it had to be.
Eventually Lufian, aware that he lived in a world that was in a constant state of dis- and re-assembly, began to envy those he watched the lives of - people who were unchanging in his eyes. He began searching for a way to capture this abnormalcy and bring it into his world.
His quest eventually led him to the core of the Eternal Kingdom, deep below the castle at the center of the world. He learned from the core that he was not alive in the same way those he watched and recorded were, instead being a concrete representation of their feelings, and that the Eternal Kingdom as a whole was a representation of the multiverse. It shattered his worldview, and so he shattered the core, taking all but the largest pieces of it with him.
