The Ether

The Ether is the space that the worlds within the Colaverse are contained in. Physically, the Ether is a mostly-empty dimension with no walls, instead looping in on itself in most directions. If a ceiling exists, it has not been found yet.

The floor is made of an unknown substance that resembles water, giving the appearance of walking on water; it is cold to the touch and produces a constant fog. Under rare circumstances, it is possible to breach through the floor.

Each world within the Ether is represented by a door that, once opened, leads to the world within. Destroying these doors only makes them impossible to access for a short period of time before new doors appear.

Cube-shaped lights known as Starcubes float above the Ether. These cubes sometimes fall from the sky, becoming seeds from which new doors are made; they can also be used as sources of energy (to power machinery, for example). Consuming the cubes raw is not suggested.

Doors grown from Starcubes never move or decay, but they tend to be miles away from eachother.

Other Worlds

DÐ

DÐ is a world that heavily resembles that of real life.

Heartbeat Café

The Heartbeat Café is a café built in the Ether. It is ran by Cardianne, and is open from 6 AM to 8 PM local time; it is open on all days except Saturday.

It serves coffee, hot chocolate, sandwiches, bread, and cookies. While most of the purchasable items are completely normal, two items - the N Drink and the N Pastry - take the form of exact clones of drinks/pastries from the customer's past.

Mass Confusion

Mass Confusion is an artificial world created by Bonnie. It serves as a small utopia where several people live.

Northern Fantasy

The Northern Fantasy is a train that operates in the Ether and various worlds within. It is ran by Madeline, Cyn, and Eden.

It appears to be an oversized toy train with two generic cars, one sleeping car, and one observation car.

PAPER128

PAPER128 is a heavily divergent AU of Paper Mario, with the most notable change being that most characters are humanized/gijinkas.

The events of Paper Mario 64 have occurred, but those of TTYD have not.

ROBLOXia

ROBLOXia is a world based off classic (2007-2011) ROBLOX. Most popular games take the form of video games, comics, game shows, and tabletop games.

While the world is mostly peaceful, behind the scenes, a group of Robloxians known as One-and-For have been working to summon an evil spirit and take control of the world.

  • 200 to 400 years after Mist and Dolphin ascend, Key is born. (PAPER128)
  • Twelve years after his birth, Key ascends and becomes a Star Spirit. (PAPER128)

Recent Past

  • In 1992, Perry is created.
  • In 2000...
    • The events of Paper Mario occur. (PAPER128)
    • Dolphin loses his arm. (PAPER128)
  • In 2001, Coral is born. (Heartbeat Café)

  • Parade meets Cardianne and Coral. They begin a polyamorous relationship and build a home/workplace in the Ether. (Heartbeat Café)
  • Megu and Teo meet and become friends. A year later... (DÐ)
    • Megu is killed in an accident. (DÐ)
    • Mu is created by Teo. (DÐ)
    • A few months after her creation, Mu abandons DÐ and enters the Ether for the first time. (DÐ)
